TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT UNDER THE NHS

To schedule an appointment for Specialist Outpatient services (first appointment, follow-up, outpatient diagnostic tests, chemotherapy/radiotherapy treatment), a referral from the treating physician (primary physician, NHS medical specialist or hospital physician) is required.

In general, at the time of booking, it is not possible to choose the specialist who will perform the service.
For all medical consultations or exams, it is recommended that you bring any diagnostic images and reports of tests or visits previously carried out at other centers and that you indicate to the doctor any pharmacological therapies in progress.

Citizens of EU and non-EU countries or Italian nationals residing abroad who are not registered with the Italian health service may undergo planned cancer diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at the Veneto Institute of Oncology. For more information click here.

To collect reports and results

The results of the examinations performed on an outpatient basis can be collected at the CUP of the Busonera Hospital Monday through Friday from 8.00 to 17.30; Saturday from 8.00 to 14.00.
The Breast Radiology and Nuclear medicine (Padua) reports are delivered directly by the operative unit.
The Radiology reports are available on-line and, on request, are delivered directly by the operative unit from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00.
The reports of the services performed in Castelfranco Veneto are delivered to the same place directly by the doctor who performed them. For some types of reports, it is possible to ask for retrieval at the CUP of the Busonera Hospital.

The reports available online can be downloaded from the following address: https://service.aopd.veneto.it/portalereferti/.

Normally, the patient must collect his/her own report. However, the patient may delegate someone to pick up the report. A duly completed and signed proxy, together with a valid identification document, in its original or copy, of the delegate and the patient, is required. The proxy form is issued at the time of booking, admission or use of outpatient services.
Failure to collect the report within 30 days from the rendered specialist service will lead to a charge for the full cost of the service provided (Article 5 paragraph 8 of Law 407 of December 29, 1990), except for cases of exams that, by their nature, require reporting times beyond the aforementioned 30 days.
